# What are credits and how many do I need?

You can use credits to generate photos. Generating 1 photo requires 1 credit. For example: If your product has 4 photos you’d like to upload to the system, it will require 4 credits. 
A good way to estimate how manny credits you need is to multiply the number of products you want to upload to Botika by the average photos per product on your website.
